Pet Shop Boys soar 5-1 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart (dated Feb. 27) with "Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)." It's the veteran UK duo's first leader on the list, which began in 2010. The 1986 classic continues to be buoyed by an Allstate insurance commercial featuring the song, first broadcast on CBS during the Super Bowl Feb. 7.
"Opportunities" sold 3,000 downloads, up 179%, in the tracking week ending Feb. 18, according to MRC Data. Plus, Plus, 1986's "West End Girls," the act's sole Billboard Hot 100 No. 1, shoots 23-9, marking Pet Shop Boys' second Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales top 10 (1,000 sold, up 83%). Both tracks are from the Boys' debut album Please, which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 in June 1986.
